History & People
The Taylor family have been graziers in the Wellington district in central NSW for 5 generations. There is a long-standing intergenerational policy to progress the ecological state of all land in their care. This continues to be a family enterprise managed by Bruce, his two sons Geoff and Hugh, and their families.
To achieve this vision, the Taylor family are passionate about implementing the following day-to-day management strategies:
- Low-stress stock handling
- Complete cessation of mulesing
- Rotational grazing systems
- Diversity of perennial grasses
- Minimal chemical usage.
- Simplicity, profitability and scale
- Sustainable production with improvement in soil quality
Sustainable Production:
To guarantee sustainability for future Taylor generations, we routinely carry out:
- Worm egg monitoring
- Reduced herbicide use though sustainable rotational grazing systems
- Encouraging palatable perennials, ground cover and soil moisture
- Reduced pesticide use though easy care plain bodied sheep
- Ability to sell stock early to return buyers
